The closest one is maybe SAGE - it also has a cloud version.Īnother thing: Mathematica is a very useful tool, however I see the danger of a student relying it too much, and never properly learn/practice the underlying mathematics. There are also open-source alternatives, though there is no real drop-in replacement. This applies to all kind of professional software tools, by the way.

One thing: People will presumably downvote this, but seriously, you are a high-school student, don't spend your (or your parents') money on it, just get an illegal version.Ĭonsider this: you learn how to use the software as a student later when you join the workforce you will tell your boss to buy the software you already know how to use, and everybody is better off.
